Winning the World Nomads Photo & Film Scholarship, alongside Fujifilm Australia, Go2Africa, Vacations & Travel, and my mentors Dan & Zora Avila, gave me the chance to live a journey that was both creative and deeply personal. My film, We Are One, was born from the belief that every living being — animals, trees, skies, rivers, and people — is connected. Through the textures of skin, sand, bark, and light, I wanted to reveal that invisible thread that ties us together, reminding us that to care for nature is also to care for ourselves. This scholarship was not just about photography or filmmaking; it was about finding a voice through the lens. Africa showed me how unity exists in every glance and every landscape, and World Nomads gave me the opportunity to share that story with the world.
